Services

Swedish massage: techniques intended to relax the system, boost immunity, increase circulation.

Deep Tissue: techniques intended to sink into and open the deeper layers of muscles, and release tension in muscle tendon and skeletal ligature. Slow speed, deeper pressure.

Neuromuscular Therapy:  deep tissue work intended to break ischemic cycles in tissue, eliminate trigger points, correct postural misalignments. Can be uncomfortable if adhesions or active trigger points are present.

Reiki: pronounced "ray key."  Stimulating, balancing, releasing energy flow in the body.  Technique is light touch and, at times, work is done above and behind body without touch. (Our energy field goes beyond our physical being.) When done exclusive of other modalities, client is clothed. Client may feel tingling or warm sensations during or post Reiki work.

Stretching: passive (muscle relaxed) and active (muscle engaged) stretches to open joints, increase range of motion and support energy flow.

Pregnancy Massage: the body with child is an ever-changing landscape. The activity within is immense. Pregnancy massage is specialized work to serve the mother and child.
